Titta här: Google Reader - Nils shared items. (Eller nedan till höger.)

WHAT'S NEXT: INNOVATIONS IN NEWSPAPERS: THE INNOVATION"S "INFORMATION ENGINE" CONCEPT COMES TO USA TODAY'S NEWSROOM: "Last Thursday, the CEO of Gannett, Craig Dubow, sent this historical memo to all his newsrooms:
'I'd like to talk about a Gannett innovation called the Information Center. It's being launched now in some locations around the company, and plans are being made to broaden that rollout across Gannett."

Tre problem och några förslag till åtgärder
Telegraph Blogs: Technology: Shane Richmond: October 2006: News from nowhere - a survival guide: "I identified three problems. First, how do media organisations, specifically newspapers, remain relevant when readers have more choices and less time? Second, how do those organisations continue to make money in such a world? And third, how do you maintain ownership of material when even individual articles can be fragmented to serve the needs of readers?
There aren't any answers. Not yet, anyway. There is always room for surprises when it comes to technology - but here are a few suggestions for how media organisations can prepare themselves for the future."

Nya regler för nyhetstidningar
New rules for newspapers: "The Internet has changed everything. If newspapers want to play – and win – then we need to follow the new rules:
1 Get real about the Internet
2 Tie journalists' pay to circulation
3 Ignore your loyal readers
4 Stop running news stories
5 Feed the cash cow
6 Drop the price
7 Solve the online revenue riddle
8 Promote as if success depends upon it
9 Join hands and sing Kumbaya"

Framtidens tv?
Skype's Venice Project Revealed: "The current code name will be replaced with a new brand, though Friis declined to say what the official name will be. The Venice Project is currently trying to convince a range of small, medium, and large media and TV companies to place their full-length, professionally produced content on the network, although anyone will be able to post video on the network. It's also talking to advertisers and marketers that could place video ads on the network. 'People love to watch TV. They love professional storytelling by people who know what they are doing. And people love the Internet, because of the choice and the social qualities. We are trying to bring the best of both worlds together,' Friis said."

Stillbilder en parantes i fotojournalistikens historia
Editorial Photographers UK "Video is the future for Telegraph photographers" says Nicol: "“Digital stills photography will, when we look back on it, form a very small period of time in the history of photojournalism”, Nicol told EPUK. “Telegraph photographers will undoubtably be shooting solely on video in the future, and certainly within a year we hope to be well advanced down that route.”"
