Han skriver: "A key ingredient to the 'newspaper of tomorrow': Let the consumer decide how he wishes to receive the news, and offer it in many forms. Don't just offer a broadsheet print edition published once a day plus a Web site. "

Tips: Så gör man e-post-intervjuer

"E-mail interviews are now like telephone interviews — they have their shortcomings when stacked against the in-person interview format, but they're also a reality for journalists under deadline pressure. Here's a look at how to use this form of communication efficiently for reporting."

Always On använder bloggar för att låta medlemmar kommentera artiklar

"At AO, we ask our members to share their opinions on the most important trends in technology, entertainment, and finance. And it is working. More than 90 percent of our content comes from our members, most of whom are, on average, highly qualified, and therefore generally possesses more expertise on a specific topic than an average Wall Street Journal reporter.

In many ways, AlwaysOn now represents the most liberal (in a French Revolutionary sense) media brand on the planet: members can freely comment on virtually anything that is posted on the site, and even instantly write their own headlines and blog entries."

Nätannonser bedöms öka starkt i Västeuropa nästa år

"Western Europe's bruised Internet sector is poised for a return to double-digit growth in online advertising this year, a level not seen since the tech bubble burst three years ago, according to a study released Wednesday.
The report concluded that online advertising in the top six Western European markets--Britain, France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the Netherlands--will grow 10.2 percent in 2003 to 886 million euros (about $1.03 billion). The study was conducted by PriceWaterhouseCoopers (PWC) and Zenith Optimedia.
By 2007, advertisers will spend more than 1.25 billion euros (about $1.46 billion) in Web advertising across the region, the study said. "

Tio punkter om varför webbloggformen är helt ny typ av journalistik

Punkt fem: "Whereas an item of news in a newspaper or broadcast seeks to add itself to the public record, an entry posted in a weblog engages the public record, because it pulls bits and pieces from it through the device of linking. In journalism the regular way, we imagine the public record accumulating with each day’s news— becoming longer. In journalism the weblog way, we imagine the public record “tightening,” its web becoming stronger, as links promotes linking, which produces more links."

Harvard-rapport om kopplingen mellan webbloggar och journalistik

"In this section of Nieman Reports, bloggers and journalists (some of whom wear both hats) write about the points of convergence and divergence of Weblogs and journalism. What separates these forms of communication? How do they influence each other? Is what’s happening on Weblogs changing how journalists do their jobs and, if so, in what ways? Can news organizations embrace Weblogs and maintain the standards of the craft?"
